Why didn't I become a dentist?

Post by Scooter »

I went to get my teeth cleaned last week; I mentioned to the hygienist that I was occasionally getting bits of the inside of my cheek sloughing off when I brushed my teeth, and she thought I should have the dentist take a look.

So I went back today, she took about three minutes to look around in my mouth, told me everything looked normal and explained why it might be happening, and wished me a good day. Then the clerk at the front handed my a bill for $100.

And I thought plumbers were bad.

Many moons ago, when you had to have a long distance provider; I gave them a call because the connection was so bad.

The receptionist told me there was nothing they could do, that the problem was on my end.

My next bill had a charge for $67- for 'repairs' they didn't do. :arg

Have you recently changed toothpaste scoot or have they changed the formulation?

This happened to me when I switched brands a few months ago.

Rinsing with spoon of baking soda in a glass of lukewarm water has taken care of most of my inner mouth maladies.

The dentist said it was probably from superficial damage caused by hot food or biting the inside of my cheek, which was then getting sloughed off when rubbed with my toothbrush.
