Never been to one of these "eat as much as you want" places, has any here tried one?Two hungry diners have been given a lifetime ban from an all-you-can-eat restaurant - for scoffing too much food.
George Dalmon, 26, and Andy Miles, 25, were asked to leave Gobi Mongolian Barbecue Restaurant in Brighton's trendy Lanes, after munching their way through five bowls of stir fry.
The pair, who paid £12 each, were branded ‘pigs’ by the restaurant manager before being thrown out.
Former rugby player George said: 'They only give you small bowls and you cannot get enough food in there so we always go back for more.
'We have been eating there regularly for a couple of years but suddenly the owner came to our table and started going mental in front of the other customers.
'He said we were eating him out of business and called us a couple of pigs. I asked if he was joking and he told us we were banned for life.'
Comments on travel website TripAdviser however seem to praise the restaurants bowl sizes.
'We didn't find the bowls small,' says one reviewer, 'in fact I would usually only half fill the bowls as I want to try out as many different combinations as possible before I'm too full - have made that mistake here many times.'
Another writes: ' The bowls are of sufficient size, in my opinion. We had as many bowls as we wanted and by having a smaller bowl you can try more recipes.'
The restaurant’s website promises customers they can ‘eat as much as you like’.
Diners can create their own unique dishes 'from our vast selection of recipes from all over the world, including Vietnam, Thailand, China, India, Caribbean, Africa and Europe.
'Then take it over to our grill where one of our chefs will cook your dish in front of you. Then repeat as many times as you wish. All for a set price of £12.'
The manager, who refused to be named, said: 'Basically these two guys just come in and pig out. I have put up with them for two years but have had enough.
'They spoil it for everyone else and are in such a hurry to get to the food so none of the other diners can get a look in.
'We are not a charity. We are a business. It is our restaurant and we can tell people not to come back if we want to.'
All you can't eat..
All you can't eat..

I have tried an "All You Can Eat Seafood" restaurant.
I don't know how they made any money.

Re: All you can't eat..
In the past I frequented an all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant in Twinsburg OH. Just like Vegas, the odds are with the house. One or two "pigs" might hog away at the King Crab legs but most people find that "all they can eat" is actually a lot less than they think it is. I used to go small so I could eat more ice cream..... oh dear.
The Maselspoort resort restaurant here (we live on the approach road) does an unlimited Sunday brunch for R120 per person - currently about US$14 (and the people we know think that is expensive!) - and it's good food. Roast beef, pork, a fish dish - fresh veggies, salad and tons of desserts. It is very busy - we're 25-30 kms outside of town but people drive out here anyway. I'm usually around watching football on their satellite TV in the bar and enjoy watching the 10 or so staff eating up the leftovers - of which there is never any shortage.

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: All you can't eat..
A friend insisted on the "Country Buffet" all the "food" one can consume establishment.
I'll pass and I did numerous times.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.

Down in Port Jefferson there is a place that has $14.95 all you can eat lobsters on Tuesdays along with other seafood specials the other nights. They are whole lobsters grilled or steamed (I like grilled), and give the wife the tails and I go and take 30 minutes for the rest of the lobster. But seconds and thirds.... are not a problem.
It is a bar so not drinking is my problem. they kinda "shun" those who only order an ice tea (not the Long Island type)
