A request to the membership.
Re: A request to the membership.
I wonder if he is back because Gwen is finally ready to let go of the strings.....
Re: A request to the membership.
I thought when we post here that we aren't supposed to talk about the CSB.
Re: A request to the membership.
It was a request Joe, not a rule.
Which brings me onto the next topic..
No fuck it, I'll start a new thread....

Re: A request to the membership.
I was under the impression that we could talk about our shared history at the CSB... anything else would be ludicrous IMO, we can't pretend it doesn't exist... but requested to leave any and all crap over there where it belongs.
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?
Re: A request to the membership.
That's all good by me..

Re: A request to the membership.
Certainly works for me.

Not acknowledging it is like ignoring the boil, it festers.
I don't want festering, not even from Uncle.

The Hen said:
1) She had no intention of scuttling the CSB nor to cause anyone any harm.
2) She was firmly of the opinion that she was handling matters in an appropriate way.
3) She too would agree that it was. First Gar’s board and then that of the posters.
While I wouldn’t put great wads of money on it, I also believe that the growing dissent, which culminated in the wildly successful launch of Plan B caused her a great deal of pain. Wacky Steve alluded to this several times.
Sean did leave a cell phone number, which he changed several time in a short span of time. Since he never answered my messages I left on his Kansas landline, I never presumed I would really get through to him on his cell. But I would think that Gwen would have used the number and quite likely, advised him of this development.
While I am speculating, I don’t think either Sean or Gwen thought her position at the helm was a permanent one.
In all of the time I was sharing admin status with Gwen, she never gave me any heads up on any of the things she wanted to do So I don’t have any insight into her thinking, but I would have the confidence to put great wads of money on my belief that:Not publicly, but he did confirm it was 'our board' which is a bit different from the attitude the current Admin has/had. Otherwise she would have assisted in trying to enliven the Board instead of getting cranky that i was jumping on her sofa and opening the windows.

A sufficiently copious dose of bombast drenched in verbose writing is lethal to the truth.
Re: A request to the membership.
Well opinions are like sphincters; we all have one. She certainly gave little indication of much of anything she was thinking but her compatriot Editec certainly gave every indication of a proprietorial feeling for the place. I recall him saying, "I want these assholes off our board." May they enjoy their sinking ship. This place has far more to offer, and less to offer if you get my gist.
Re: A request to the membership.
Yes, the worst thing about Gwen’s being the admin was the company she keeps, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Re: A request to the membership.
I seem to recall that Gwen & editec once worked together - or spent time at the same place during the day.
Am I remembering correctly or am I confused?
Okay, I know I'm confused, but how about the remembering correctly part of the question?

They work together on Rosetta. Sometimes Gwen visited Guy in Maine and they worked together, physically, from there. I believe Guy has also visited her in Connecticut.

Re: A request to the membership.
I didn't leave because of the administration; it is what it is.
I left because of the hate filled "discussion".
As I pointed out I get enough of that at work...

Re: A request to the membership.
there is (at least) 2 one is @W Don't know who the other is.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: A request to the membership.
I'm the other one.
I changed my status to "hidden" because since my computers are on 24/7 and I save my browser settings when I re-boot them, it looked like I was on the board a lot of the time when I really wasn't. I was getting PMs from people who thought I was going to be here to answer them, so I changed to "hidden" to avoid the confusion.
Of course since there are only two of us using "hidden" now every time one poster is showing up as "hidden", folks will assume I'm here...

Re: A request to the membership.
I'm sure this must have come up before I started posting here, but I can't find the discussion about it....
One thing I do miss from the CSB is the poll feature...
Is this software just not designed to accommodate that?

Re: A request to the membership.
polls are at the bottom of the new topic feature (check the tabs)
