A couple of super fielding plays keep the Reds from scoring in the 8th....

Now they are down to their last three outs, but first the Giants are coming to bat....

Or just enough time to hear an eternity of Leonard Cohen music.

Missing Brian Wilson about right now.

This comment on youchewb is too good not to share:
This was the last song I watched on Youtube with a good friend of mine a short while before he died. It was one of those moments I wont forget. I knew he was ready to go by the way he sighed with both contentment and a kind of silent wanton as he listened to "closing time".
Get ready for death!

Oh man, that last at bat for the Reds was more 'exciting" than it needed to be....(more dramatic tension in that half of an inning than in a whole cricket season)

But...

GIANTS WIN 6-3!!!!

First National League team to come back from a 2-0 deficit in a division series, and they did it winning three straight on the road!!!!

Well done Gentlemen!!!! :ok :ok :ok

Compared to this, the killing fields were almost an act of mercy.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Well, Jim................if the Giants end up playing the Nationals, where will your allegiance lie?

I'm still up in the air on that...(I thought the Nats, but I keep going back and forth...a lot of pressure on the home front to pull for the Giants....)

The Nats are playing now, they're down 2-1 in their series against the Cards, it's tied 1-1 in the fifth of game 4...

If the Cards win I won't have that decision to make, but I'm still pulling for the Nats against St. Louis....

Nationals...they have already been screwed out of TWO postseasons (1981 and 1994). It's time.

I'm hoping for a Nats-Orioles World Series.

And this is... what, dominoes we're talking about?
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Pish man! It's much less relevant than dominoes.

(You are just saying that because you want them to beat the Yankees!)

(Which, for the record, is perfectly fine!) :D

I prefer the Baltimo's to be bundled out now and the Yankees to have a heartbreaking loss, at home, in game 7 of the WS after coming back from 0-3 down and then leading 15-2 in the 9th.

It could happen

congrats to the Giants (originally a NY team). I have no love loss for the Yankees and really don't care if they win or not. It is ammusing listening to sports radio and the Yankee fans knowing how it should have been done and how Joe G has screwed it all up. But then again, hindsite is 20/20.
