I'm of course going to be watching the game. (I'll catch a replay of the debate)

I'm sure (especially since it's a game seven) it will put a dent in the debate viewer numbers, (which were probably going to be a lot lower than the first two anyway) but since the debate will be on every other broadcast network, PBS, and all the news channels, I suspect the debate will still pull a higher share...

It'll be interesting to see...

Game seven, and maybe a pitching duel. Runs will be scarce, managerial moves crucial. Should be a good conclusion to the NL pennant. Of course the unwatchable can happen also.

We got a pretty good soaking overnight and this morning, (it seems it have broken up now) so it's possible there could be patches in the outfield that will be a little slippery...

On the other hand, AT&T Park is a state-of-the-art facility, so I'm sure it has excellent drainage, and the grounds people have six hours to prepare, so unless we get some late afternoon downpours the rain we've had so far may not have any impact at all.

It should be a helluva game....

These are two teams that have shown they really know how to rise to the occasion when it's all on the line...(The Giants have won five times in the post season this year when they were facing elimination, and the Cards fought back from a six run deficit to beat the Nats in the final game of their best of five divisional series.)

Thanks to a marvelous electronic, hand-held device, I can watch both the game and the debate at the same time.

Foreign affairs is all smoke, mirrors, and bullshit anyway. We can't force anyone to do anything any more. The Iranians do whatever they want. The Israeli's do whatever they want. We all know that Afghanistan will devolve into a Taliban-led cluster-fuck the minute we leave, and we only hope that we can not look like impotent assholes when it happens. We have no control over what's going on in Syria, and can only hope (vainly, I'm afraid) that when the dust settles it won't end up as yet another Middle-Eastern shit-hole that hates America on general principle.

My only hope is that when Mitt is elected he will nominate John Bolton as SoS - someone with both brains and balls.
