I will be rooting for the Tigers in the Series. They have worked pretty damn hard to make it into the post-season at all, and considering their generally poor finishes over the last decade, it would be nice for them to come out on top for once. Plus, Detroit could really use a morale boost.

I would certainly find that reasoning compelling, were they playing the Phillies....

Yeah, but the Phillies weren't playing anybody in post-season this year. Also, Tigers swept the Yankees, so heroes.

It should be great series...

Game one has Giants lefty Barry Zito, (who started the Giants comeback charge against the Cardinals, pitching 7 and 2/3 scoreless innings for the Giants Game five 5-0 victory...the Giants have won 13 straight in games where Zito was the starter) squaring off against the Tiger's red-hot right-hander Ryan Vogelsong (Who's compiled a 1.42 post season ERA in three playoff starts)

If the Tigers go up 2-1 in the series they may want to consider throwing game four...

The last thing they should want to do is have the Giants in a three game hole....

They've now outscored their opponents 28-4 in their last four games....

That looks pretty "red hot" to me...

IMO the Giants benefited from going right into the next series with minimal time off and the Tigers hadd too much time off. But good on the Giants.

Well, I didn't expect them to take it in four straight, but it's starting to look like it could be that way.....The Giants have just out played the Tigers in every single aspect of the game....

The great thing about this team is the way that when somebody is having problems, somebody else steps up to fill the void...

Our clean up guy Buster Posey, who came roaring back from being out the whole previous season to bat .336 this year and lead the majors, until he had a couple of hits Thursday night had a hitting average lower than the pitching staff for the playoffs...

But no problem, because are number two and number three batters Scutaro and Sandoval step up and catch fire at the plate...

The pitching staff's performance has been nothing short of historic, and there have also been a ton of spectacular defensive plays.....

And I'd also like to give a shout out to a group of guys who don't usually get shout outs....

The umpires....

There have been a number of very close calls in the playoffs at first base, on stolen bases, and some at the plate, and as far as I can tell they haven't blown a single call....
