A surprising and refreshing result.
Is it possible that the advance scouting done for the Giants provided insights into hitting weaknesses that the Tigers' regular opponents missed? That's my guess. The Tiger hitters had no confidence and never really got into it.

Yes, their great arms all got rested and showed their ability, as they did 2 years ago against an even better hitting team.dales wrote:Giants pitching, end of story.

We met Brad Haddin in Adelaide, nice chap, he should have been given another series to prove himself.THE worst-kept secret in Australian cricket is set to be confirmed today with the anticipated selection of Matthew Wade for the first Test against South Africa likely to effectively end Brad Haddin's international career.
Australia's five-man panel fronted by national selector John Inverarity are expected to today announce a 13-man squad for the first of three encounters against the world No. 1 Proteas, in Brisbane, and the only question apparently left will be how many fast bowlers make the final XI.
While the rubber-stamping of Wade as Australian wicketkeeper would in all probability put a full stop on 35-year-old Haddin's 43-Test career despite a resurgent past month, there is likely to be places in the Gabba squad for young NSW quicks Mitchell Starc and Patrick Cummins, although both would be at long odds to play if Australian captain Michael Clarke opts to include spinner Nathan Lyon from Friday week.

Giants Victory Parade Set For Halloween
Mix a Giants victory parade with Halloween revelry and you'll get one of the largest, most colorful celebrations this city's has seen in eons. On Wednesday, San Francisco will honor your the Giants with a parade starting at the foot of Market and ending at Civic Center. The fact that it's on All Hallow's Eve will just make it that more boss, you guys. Orange and black for miles. You will, obviously, come dressed as your favorite Giants player.

People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

Be that as it may, should not the subject line say "damned annoying"?
