I've also long felt that it was extremely likely that she and Steve have had something going on...

They only live a couple of hours drive away from each other, and being involved in a relationship with him would completely explain Gwen's totally irrational comments regarding Steve's behavior....

Being in a relationship can sometimes cause otherwise intelligent people to hit the "be stupid button" really hard...the ability to rationalize someone's behavior in that situation, can become pretty much limitless...

I pointed this out in a post at the CSB and also mentioned that I was very familiar with this phenomenon since I myself had been in that situation before. Gwen replied that I was being "sexist"...

I asked her how she could possibly accuse me of being "sexist" when I pointed out that I myself had been in this condition; her response was classic Gwen:

She said that using myself as an example was just a clever way for me to try to hide the fact that I was being sexist....

I have to admit, it was pretty much impossible to argue with "logic" like that....

Actually I have always thought she had a major case of unrequited love for Editec. It seemed glaringly obvious to me the way she fawned over him on the board.

I have NO respect for people who will not admit when they are wrong and will not apologise for their mistakes.

It is my line in the sand for judging a person. I will forgive MANY character flaws, but not when you can't admit you stuffed up.

As for Steve, there is definitely nothing there. She protects him as she does her injured wildlife, as something needing her protection. Frankly she treats him like a hapless little puppy, always peeing himself and needing someone to clean it up. He's just too thick to understand the condescension inherent in that kind of treatment.

I've never thought so much about any relationship between the three of them other than that they are friends and somewhat inclined to defend each other. I'm not upset with Gwen as a lot of others appear to be.

Gwen, in her role as administrator, has done nothing wrong. She is entitled to choose her friends and to defend them if she wants to; whether she does so well or ill is not important to me personally. If she had used her control over the board to further her agenda then I think there would be a legitimate complaint.

I see Gwen is active on the CSB again...

So far her contributions have consisted of several flagrantly dishonest assertions about the editing time limit, and the barkingly mad statement that she believes the judgment she used as admin at the CSB turned out "really well"...

That would be rather like Captain Bligh saying, "You know, if I had it to do all over again, I'd have handled things on The Bounty exactly the same. All in all things turned out really well."

All in all I prefer reading and posting here; many many thanks to Strop, Hen, RB, tyro, Daisy and whoever else had a hand in getting this place up and running. It's weird since it's all just typed text from mostly all of the same people, but the "feel" of this place is just so much more convivial. I don't mean to denigrate the CSB but I certainly hope its resurfacing doesn't drastically alter things around here.

You've seemed much more convivial Sue U. It seemed like we only saw your professional side on the CSB, but then again 'deviant*' behavior was frowned upon over there.
