No offense intended to our friends who no longer imbibe intended.
I've just got 23 litres of stout started...

Loads of cheap starter kits out there Jim. You can even find good beers!
Australia's largest locally-owned brewer, Coopers Brewery, has burst into the American home brew market after buying the largest home brew brand in the United States, Mr Beer, in a move that could consolidate Coopers at the top of the global home brew market.
Coopers, a South Australian-based brewer that is this year celebrating 150 years in business, will become the biggest home brewer in North America following the deal.
Based in Tucson, Arizona, Mr Beer distributes home brew starter kits, concentrates and accessories to more than 14,000 stores across America as well as to consumers directly via strong on-line sales.
Coopers, which has a 4 per cent slice of the Australian beer market, is already the world's largest producer of home brew concentrates and has its own range of DIY beer kits and accessories which it distributes to more than 20 countries.
The purchase of Mr Beer means Coopers will also become the largest home brew beer supplier in the USA. The purchase price was not disclosed.
The mother in law bought me a starter kit for my birthday, I hadn't used it, as it came with a lager brew. I saw the stout can at the local shops the other day, and decided to give it a go.

My boss brought over some home brewed Apple Jack, for us to sample. (It's the height of Apple season here in the states) I'd heard of it, but that was my first time trying it.
Great stuff! He's been doing home-distilling and refining his process for years. Very nice, strong, scent of apples, and a smooth kick that sneaks up on you slow. One sip, and I knew that was enough ...'B-boy' was conned into downing a whole shot, and was buzzed for the rest of the afternoon.
One of the things I do miss is home brewed beer. My cousins friend (with benefits) brews his own and always had a good selection and all types tasted great. One of the downsides of being an alcoholic.
My first batch turned out to be a disaster, gave me the shits something awful.
Next attempt coming up...

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Just got a second batch of stout on, I have high hopes for this one. It's fermenting well.
I'm going to be bottling a few bottles of this brew for "laying down", and I'm buying a pressure barrel this week for the quaffing stuff.

Oh result!!! A fine brew, malty, hoppy, with a bit of caramel on the nose!!
It's only a week old, should improve for at least another month!!!
All mine!! (Oh, and 21 litres of British Bitter are bubbling away nicely too!)

That's the bugger! This stuff takes a fortnight to clear.
Then store in a warm place.

Is there a way or place you guys can have your delicious beer/brew/ale threads that I can't see?
Not that I'm tempted to drink, just that I long for what I have chosen to give up.
If we keep it to this one, you can ignore it. Would that be ok mate?
The last thing I want to do is put temptation your way.
