Not sure what you are getting at, LR. I'll post a random image below - actually it's my father's landing craft LCT2302 on Utah beach, June 1944.

What do you see - or rather what don't you see? Do you have to click on something? When I do 'Preview' I just see an image and some text: nothing more, nothing less. When Photobucket went pay only, I moved to Imgur. I'm sure I pay for it with clicks in some way but it appears to be free.

The Greatest Generation

My father fought in North Africa

He never talked about it much.

My Grandfather was in the Navy at the Battle of Leyte Gulf.

He was awarded the Bronze Star.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

That make me all warm inside. That's what my parents used to tell me all the time.
You look a lot like a guy I worked with in the 70s. His name was Don Tracy and he was from Ireland. Who'da thunk you'd look Irish?
My father was born and raised in Sheffield (Grenoside), England where I wish he could have lived and died. Instead, he met my mom at a USO dance held in the basement of the Academy of Music in Philly while his BRN ship was being repaired at the Navy Yard during WWII.

My maternal grandmother -- Monahan (no 'g') -- was born in "North" Ireland in 1892, and shortly after, my great-grandparents fled political strife and immigrated to Philadelphia. All my maternal-side Irish-American relatives -- and there were hundreds of them, and all "exceptional" catholics -- have now been dead for decades. (No embalming fluids ever needed, if you get my drift.) I was a member of the "Funeral of the Month Club" into my early twenties. There were no "Tracy" surnames in the family tree that I'm aware.

Joe, if you think I look Irish you should see how much I look like my English relatives -- it's uncanny. There must have been a lot of inbrededness among those midlands farmers way back when. Anyway, those relatives keep dying off, too.

A recent one of me, complete with lock-down beard and hairstyle. First time in my life I've been able to grow a beard.

Joe looks similar to what I envisioned (if he didn't have the beard), Ray a bit different.

BTW LR I completely misunderstood your post, hence the mansplaining above. Sorry about that. I will try that attachment feature sometime because, as you say, the procedure I have always used to post pictures is very cumbersome.

I took a photo of myself with my iPhone. It's pretty scary. You can tell by the lines on my forehead that I'm in deep thought, as usual. I have no idea why I'm posting this. It might have some odd connection to Lord Jim's passing.

That nose looks like it's had a battering at some point, you a fighter Joe?

Thanks. I've been up and down. Five years ago I went out on a run and got a pounder of a migraine that lasted 3 days. Cat scan and other stuff ordered. Doc thinks my BP went haywire and advised me taking it easy. I took that to heart and literally stopped exercising for some time. Got back on the wagon just over a year ago, slimmed down again and restarted my running regime. I'm happy with my progress and my doctor is happy, too. Haven't been on the field yet this year due to the covid-19 shutdowns but thinner/healthier makes umpiring much easier.

BSG, by your facial expression you appear to be much happier than you have us believing.

Maybe it's your flea and tick collar that's too tight that's causing some irritation.

Why I don't like wearing sandals.

BSG and RayT - after the triple by-pass. The holes are where three drains were stuck to remove juices from whatever cavities there are in there.
