You look a lot like a guy I worked with in the 70s. His name was Don Tracy and he was from Ireland. Who'da thunk you'd look Irish?
My father was born and raised in Sheffield (Grenoside), England where I wish he could have lived and died. Instead, he met my mom at a USO dance held in the basement of the Academy of Music in Philly while his BRN ship was being repaired at the Navy Yard during WWII.
My maternal grandmother -- Monahan (no 'g') -- was born in "North" Ireland in 1892, and shortly after, my great-grandparents fled political strife and immigrated to Philadelphia. All my maternal-side Irish-American relatives -- and there were hundreds of them, and all "exceptional" catholics -- have now been dead for decades. (No embalming fluids ever needed, if you get my drift.) I was a member of the "Funeral of the Month Club" into my early twenties. There were no "Tracy" surnames in the family tree that I'm aware.
Joe, if you think I look Irish you should see how much I look like my English relatives -- it's uncanny. There must have been a lot of inbrededness among those midlands farmers way back when. Anyway, those relatives keep dying off, too.
