Spam Mail is Getting More Realistic

Post by Joe Guy »

Just a public service announcement...

I copied these two images from an email I received. I could see where people could accidentally click on one of the buttons if they weren't focused or being careful. Most people realize that, especially if a message is from your bank, it will address you by name. In this case, it was easy for me to know it was spam since I don't have any relationship with American Express.

The link will of course take you to a website set up like an Amex online account, where the dupe will enter their user id and password, and then the phisher will go to town.

I can fix your problems Joe, just PM me your date of birth, mother's maiden name, and the name of the first school you attended.

Thanks Gob. I’ll send that and more to you. I know you’re trustworthy because you take pictures of your dogs.

Which one is you?
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
