Absent some more compelling evidence to the contrary I'm happy to take the story at face value.

People do kind and selfless things all the time.

It can't be insecurity which makes him want to 'oversell' the music either. This record came out years and concert tours before 1977.

It's called artistry. You either recognise it or you don't...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

So you don't... Thanks for the clarification.

A story today said the guy was walking around barefoot again, apparently afraid someone would steal his new boots.

Fucking nut-ball.

Not really. People get killed for a good pair of boots (not to mention the socks).

And now it comes out that he is not actually homeless, either. He has an apartment. And his family continually offers him support, but he chooses to live as a quasi-homeless person.

Fucking nut-ball.

Got a link? I haven't read todays paper yet and didn't see that story in yesterdays. (not that I'm doubting you, just like to see)

If he has an apartment he must be quasi unhomeless sometimes also.

Maybe he doesn't have much room at home because the place is littered with new shoes.

Not just an apartment - he owns many flats
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I have not read any follow-up stories in the local newspaper regarding the "speculation" on the veracity of this homeless/shoeless person. I would think some reporter somewhere here in NY would have found something.

Of course I may have missed it.
