If Karen Carpenter had Cass Elliot's sandwich, they'd both be alive today...

(It's a little troubling to me that my 13 year old daughter knows who those people were and why that's funny...she told me this old joke... :? )

I went to see the Carpenters once. Karen stood behind the microphone stand so nobody could see how much weight she had lost.

Had a Black Bear in our yard yesterday afternoon. My wife was the witness and after receiving her call one would have thought it was a Grizzly instead of a yearling cub (about four feet long on all 4s and about 2 1/2 at the shoulder). According to the wildlife manager from our region he said it was prolly a male that had recently been weened (seasonal time frame) that mom had shoved out to fend for itself.

Now that means we got a mom out there someplace and that makes my wife reeeeaaaallll happy...
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

I doubt if mom is very close. And if he was kicked out, mom won't be protecting him either. He's probably wondering around looking for food and for his own territory to stake out.

That's good because in the words of the immortal Pere Ubu

Life stinks
I'm seeing pink
I can't wink
I can't blink
I like the Kinks
I need a drink
I can't think
I like the Kinks
Life stinks

The passport represents your wanting to get away from your wife. And last night you were remembering how you were often in Dutch with her.
