they were boasting that there were 10 million more americans with health insurance now.

weren t there 40 million un insured before Obama care? i m all for single payer universal health care. this isn t it. this is the insurance company support system. most of our reps, from both parties, do what is best for the ins. cos. obamacare does the same. his plan leaves around 30 million now un insured. i m sure some way can be found to blame the people tho. corruption is what it is. ref. "New Book" thread. luckily our system is built for internal change . we can change it all with enough votes. ben carson embodies that.

Nor are the HSAs that Carson is touting; you could save up your entire life and never have enough to pay for even a simple bypass.

any link to that oldr? I don't know one person who had their coverage canceled; while I don't doubt there are some, I don't think it's a "good number".

FWIW, I'm no big fan of obamacare, but it is far better for many that what they had before (which was nothing). Even covering my kids to 26 under my current plan is a real I have seen (sure some states included this mandate before last year, but until the AHA came about none did).

Agreed -- but you know, keep talking shit (about the cancelled plans) and it sticks. The reason some of those plans disappeared was because they didn't provide a minimum standard of care.

The ACA isn't perfect, but it sure is better than the nothing we had before.

If single-payer healthcare is your issue, Ben Carson opposes single-payer.

As for people who "had th[eir] plan cancelled thanks to obamacare," the Affordable Care Act didn't cancel anyone's health plan. Certain employers did, because they found it a convenient smokescreen to cut employee compensation while blaming "the government" and shifting the costs to the taxpayer.
