A person could make some decent coin selling those things around Xmas, :ok

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Well, now everything is set...

All the presents are wrapped and under the tree...(Except of course for the Santa presents...they don't get wrapped, they just "appear" Christmas morning...like the stocking stuffers...Jimmy's getting the bike he's wanted, but I'm not assembling it...I'm not good at that sort of thing...one of Kelly's cousins is bringing it over late tonight...)

My Rumakis are all rolled and ready to go...

We have this humble repast set up for tomorrow:

Starters: Shrimp Cocktails

Soup: Lobster Bisque

Main Course: Prime Rib, baked potato, stuffed mushrooms and asparagus

Dessert: Deep dish apple pie and French vanilla ice cream

In a few hours we're going to shlep over Kelly's cousins' house in Antioch, and "do" Christmas Eve....

Christmas Eve was never a "thing" in my family (the "day" is the thing), but it's a tradition in her family...

So we grown-ups get together and party a bit, and the little kiddles all get to open one present...or two...

And then we're coming home...

And then we'll watch the original Miracle On 34th Street, and then everyone goes to bed...

And I leave Cognac and biscotti for Santa...

(and celery and carrots for the reindeer...when did feeding the reindeer become a part of this tradition? It wasn't a part of my growing up, but it was important to Tati when she was a tiny tot.....where'd that come from.. :? )

And Jimmy says to me, (as Tati did at her age) "Santa is supposed to get milk and cookies"

My response:

"Santa gets a lot of milk and cookies...but it's cold flying around up there....

When he comes to our house, he's going to warm up, and he's going to leave extra presents... :ok

I'm "working" today (it's Xmas day here,) so I've left it all to Hen. I've just given Hen two "not to be opened in public" Xmas presents...

Tonight we go to Hatch's new apartment, for a jolly meal, and knees up, with them and their in laws..

Crab legs, baked potatoes, corn on the cob with some baked ziti on the side for Christmas eve dinner. Then we were off to my brothers house for the traditional Christmas Eve caroling. (we sounded worse this year as Aunt Dottie was one of hte few of us who could hold a tune) Then open somfe presents. Our kids are grown and they don't get from the god parents anymore. It's really mostly family together time. Sad this year but memories and stories of those gone were passed around.

There was a bottle of Jack Daniels that called my name but I gave him :fu and he stopped. :ok

Christmas day was uneventful. My son was here (with his fiance) and the daughter came over aobut 11am. We all opened presents and my dog Apollo helped. Dinner was shrimp cocktail followed by roast beef, roasted potatoes, corn, carrots, waldorf salad, that greenbean thingy with the onion rings on top. After that we settled in and watched Christmas Vacation.
Calm day over all.

OH OH OH!!!. One set ofnet lights went out on Christmas eve. Every freekin bulb blew out. I hate net lights. But I fixed them anyway.
Hope everyones Christmas went well.

We had no tree, no lights, sent no cards and received two. No tinsel, no balls (well....). The kid came over with b/f and our two grandkids - there was a treasure hunt for rolls of President dollar coins with clues 'n all. Then a treasure hunt for a Roseberry clan tartan ornament plus a Roseberry desired check each (not for the b/f). Then we ate some pagan ham and leftover pagan Waldorf Salad (that what I made, innit?). Then they all buggered off and the rest of the day was quiet and restful.

Christmas? Ah, bumhug.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Nah - that was the day/night before. Off singing carols for shut-in (otherwise they run away when we start); family "do" at Aunt Judy's; lots of Italian family from a marriage; lots of food and laughter; then church at 11pm up at Parkside (wonderful) with our granddaughter.

No decorations, no trees, no cards sent, 2 received but one is from our vet so I suppose that doesn't really count. I worked Christmas Eve, Day, and the 2 following days, 12 hour shifts so I was not jolly. The man went to his step-brat's house and took them a giant tray of his Asian barbecue ribs. Minimal gifting to each other.
