Sounds a bundle of laughs.Scooter wrote:No. But this film is also about someone who has had what most people would see as a privileged life, but it had a darker side that she still struggles to overcome, as she tries to rebuild a life for herself on her own terms, with mixed results.

That last quote jogged my memory...
I actually think I may have seen this one...
I think it was a movie with Meryl Streep and Shirley McLaine where they played mother and daughter, but I cannot for the life of me remember the title...

I didn't watch this movie because I don't like U2

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Wel when I pout an answer, I always well pout it.

Re: Name That Movie!
And indeed the answer is

Jim was right there, but not quite. I hope I didn't throw you off with my answer about shootouts. Because she did fire a gun at Dennis Quaid, but they were blanks.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Re: Name That Movie!
Well, of course the only movie I'd seen of the last 3 weeks worth of entities would be answered in 3 minutes. The prior one that I'd seen (A clockwork orange) was answered in 19 minutes. Apparently I haven't seen enough obscure movies, as the ones that take days to answer generally I've never even HEARD of.

1947 Film NoirYou're gonna take the rap and play along. You're gonna make every exact move I tell you. If you don't, I'll kill you. And I'll promise you one thing: it won't be quick. I'll break you first. You won't be able to answer a telephone or open a door without thinking, 'This is it.' And it when it comes, it still won't be quick. And it won't be pretty. You can take your choice.

Jim.....that is one of my favorite Noirs.
Jane Greer plays an excellent femme fatale.
Michum great as always and don't want to take anything away from the Kirk Douglas character, either.

I think this is a pretty easy one:
It ain't a chick flick....
clue:I ain't your partner. I ain't your neighbor, your brother, or your friend. I'm your total stranger.
