I try to avoid those sorts of generalizations rube...

For example, I'm not going to conclude that just because you don't approve of Trump or Republicans that therefore all people that are incapable of reading for comprehension are unlikely to approve of Trump or Republicans...

Given your illiteracy you have avoided them quite faithfully.

In any case the observation is abundantly true. Even Bill O'Reilly went on Terri Gross' show on uber-Liberal NPR and admitted that he only did so because "her audience buys books" (and his does not) . It got a good laugh.

Still waiting to hear something specific about why Hillary is "the enemy" and not the party who are trying to strip health care from 12 million people and who have refused to address the Zika virus epidemic. .

You should move to the breadbasket with your talent for constructing strawmen.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Bicycle Bill wrote:Another way to bring yourself to vote for Hillary — read the 'Harry Potter' books.

A recent study conducted by the journal "PS: Political Science and Politics" (published by the Cambridge University Press) has revealed that Harry Potter fans are more likely to dislike Donald Trump.  The study, which has yet to be published in full, took respondents' age, gender, education, religious views, and political persuasions into consideration and still found that those who loved Potter were not too partial to Trump.  The reason for this has to do with the similarities that many readers draw between Trump and the wizarding world's nemesis, Lord Voldemort.

Speaking to 'TIME' magazine, Professor Diana Mutz from the University of Pennsylvania said, “It makes some sense that if you have been exposed to these long series of books where Voldemort is the ultimate kind of incarnation of evil, that the characteristics that are more aggressive tactics and so forth that Trump represents are less attractive, even leaving aside how it affects your policy attitudes.”

(another similarity — they both have bad hair)
The study, which comprised 1,200 subjects, also found that it was those who had read the books rather than just seen the films who were most likely to be anti-Trump.

This comes after J.K. Rowling herself tweeted back in December that she felt that Trump was actually worse than Voldemort.

Did they taake into account that Dolores Umbridge could be based on Hillary Clinton?
And note: my wife and I both liked the Harry Potter books...I will vote for Trump, she will CAMPAIGN for him.

Did you take into account that the book the Delores Umbridge character appears in — HP + Order of the Phoenix — was published in 2003, 3+ years after Hillary had left the White House (and was just the junior senator from NY) and some 6 years before she accepted the position of Secretary of State in President Obama's cabinet?  That makes the Dolores Umbridge = Hillary Clinton connection tenuous at best.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

So your political values are as inconsequential and based on as little as your knee-jerk sports affiliations?

Not surprised that it is so, only that you admit it. Few people are honest enough to admit that their opinions are shit like that.

I did that just for you, so you'd have a little frisson in your underwear. :ok

But if you're over that, then I'd say I'm 100% opposed to allowing Hilliary to nominate Supreme Court justices. I regard that item as being of more significance than her right-liberal social agenda, even this one (which is crap):
Hillary believes DAPA is squarely within the president’s authority and won’t stop fighting until we see it through
And this one:
One of Clinton's goals is to help workers take time off the job to care for loved ones. Under her plan, every worker would be entitled to up to 12 weeks of paid family leave and an additional 12 weeks of paid medical leave. While on leave, the government would pay these workers two-thirds of what they make on the job in order to replace their wages. The money would come from increased taxes imposed on the wealthy.
etc.

Uh, no....

I think that would indicate that I have some actual level of positive enthusiasm for Hillary, which I can assure you I do not...

Kelly found this and ordered one for me for my car:

That's a valid point...

Back in '96 I had some left-wing fascists in this "City Of Tolerance" slash all four of the tires on my car because I had the nerve to put a "Dole For President" bumper sticker on my car...

I know that's why they did it , because the night it happened they also slashed the sticker....
