That is both sleeveless and tasteless.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

That's not a vest. That's a "wife beater" shirt with some serious symmetrical moth damage. That thing on it's head is called a do-rag.

Tsk, tsk. That's not a do-rag - it's a handkerchief knotted at the four corners to make a sun hat. And a string vest is a wonderful garment...

The purpose of the string vest is to assure that any spilt beer will be absorbed by him rather than be wasted on fabric.

No offense to the baseball fans, but if I'm ever diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, I want people to say I've got Stephen Hawking's disease rather than Lou Gehrig's disease.

Why are there more pages to the Trump is Serious thread than there are in this thread?

I know this isn't a random thought, but while I get your point I also disagree with it for a few reasons: Hawking isn't American and ALS is only known as Lou Gehrig's disease in the US solely because his fame made the disease known to the wider American public.

Beyond that, because Hawking's course of ALS has been highly atypical having been juvenile onset rather than the much more common middle-age onset - and because he's lived so very many years with it, putting him in a very small category of fewer than 10% of ALS sufferers.

Finally Lou's retirement speech is one of the most iconic moments in all of baseball history and he deserves to be remembered for his incredible work ethic and endurance as well as the cruel twist that fate handed him and the grace with which he made his peace with it.

When I die I want it to be of some strange, weird disease or syndrome so rare that they end up naming it after me.

Here's a new timely joke I just made up...

Why does Donald Trump hand out shredders at his rallies?

Because he wants to make America grate again.

Q) Why did Donald Trump cross the road?

A) It was the fascist way to get to the other side.
