It's Election Day In America!

Why? Because you could not find one you agreed with enough to vote for? Or because you won't vote third party on principle?
Third party candidates rarely come out of the woodwork until election time. They never seem to make themselves visible until then. Ergo, I cannot develop any empathy or agreement with their platform. Mostly, however, they appear as deliberate spoilers to me.

If a third party group would begin making inroads within the next few month and formed a real and competent agenda over time I might be more open to their brand of "hope and change" as a general election date neared.

Ideally, a strong third party is needed, especially in today's election climate. Unfortunately, too many wacko fringe groups, and the need for established status quo apparently dictates our democratic process.

Thousands are protesting the election of Trump in streets all over the country today/tonight.

Has that ever happened before?

They should have voted.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Are you aware that if the election results stand ... and at this point I have no logical reason to assume that they will not ... this means that, among other things, the Disney 'Imagineers' are going to have to create an animatronic Donald Trump for the "Hall of Presidents" attraction at Disney World?

I wonder what they will have him say?  "Grab her by the pussy"?  "I like people who weren't captured"?  "You can never be too greedy"?  "I’d look at her right in that fat, ugly face of hers, I’d say ‘Rosie, you’re fired' "?  " “The beauty of me is that I’m very rich"?  "If Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her"?  "My IQ is one of the highest — and you all know it! Please don’t feel so stupid or insecure; it’s not your fault"?  "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters"?

Or maybe they'll just let it interrupt the other characters and spout crazy shit at random intervals.  The only problem with that is they would never know when it was working as intended or if it had gone haywire.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Pretty sure many of them did, but a lot of the protesters are High School students, and less than 20% of those are eligible to vote.

Also, how many of those protests are happening in places that voted for Trump? Not many, I suspect. Hillary won big in almost every urban center, even in the so-called Red States.

It's areas mostly off the beaten path, where people who want to be left alone and the Government out of their lives (and pocketbooks) where Trump had huge margins. The kind of people that don't want the Government telling them what they can and cannot do on their property. Hey, I'm just a liberal-leaning one of those myself. The difference is, while I want the Government to butt out of my life and property, I also don't feel that I should impose my morals on anyone.
