Third party candidates rarely come out of the woodwork until election time. They never seem to make themselves visible until then. Ergo, I cannot develop any empathy or agreement with their platform. If a third party group would begin making inroads within the next few month and formed a real and competent agenda over time I might be more open to their brand of "hope and change" as a general election date neared.
Ideally, a strong third party is needed, especially in today's election climate. Unfortunately, too many wacko fringe groups, and the need for established status quo apparently dictates our democratic process.
