Play the National Anthem or not — six of one, half-a-dozen of another.
Stand, stay seated, or take a knee during the anthem — it's really no big deal; just a tempest in a pot of herbal tea.
But when they start selling toasted bugs with lime salt and chili as ballpark snacks, then it's time to draw the line!!
What's next? Chocolate-covered cockroaches?? "They don't melt in your hand, they crawl in your mouth!"
One thing I will note, however — the guy says 'their popularity exceeded my expectations'. Well, at $4 for one of those little plastic cups, they're probably the cheapest thing at the concession stand. I wonder how that might have played into the popularity factor. -"BB"-
Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
An important food source for the amerind. tribes around the great salt lake. When there were swarms of locusts they could catch them by the bushel and then mash them up with the readily avail. salt to make cakes which would keep for a long time. When the wagon trains came through they would sell them to the settlers. They caught up to 200 lbs of sun-dried grasshoppers in an hour, equivalent to 173,000 calories.
It's amazing what some people will pay money to eat...
I've heard that there's even a company that takes the residue scrapings from the bottom of used beer vats, dumps it into little jars, and people actually buy it and eat it...

“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
I think they need soldiers to deal with the situation....

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.
Football is a stupid violent sport that attracts many stupid violent people - and some, I assume, are good people.
Seriously NFL players have a higher violent crime rate than men 20-30 overall, there are constantly stories about thugs and wife-beaters and murderers in the NFL, they're not exactly role models.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

So we should deport the NFL and let the Mexicans in? I like it.
